We Count LA is a comprehensive outreach and communications campaign committed to promoting census participation among Los Angeles County’s diverse communities.

We Count LA is made up of dozens of organizations across LA County working hard every day to ensure everyone in Los Angeles County is counted. Our outreach partners are located in eight regions across LA County and work with 16 different hard-to-count populations. We Count LA Pooled Fund Partners

The California Community Foundation (CCF) was named the region’s Administrative Community Based Organization (ACBO) by the State of California. This designates CCF as responsible for leading and coordinating education and outreach in Los Angeles County — which is ranked the hardest-to-count region in the nation.

In addition to allocated funding from the state, philanthropic leaders have stepped in to contribute to a pooled fund supporting We Count LA. We’re thankful to our funding partners supporting our outreach efforts: the Weingart Foundation, James Irvine Foundation, Ballmer Group, the California Endowment, Smidt Foundation, Mindy and Gene Stein, Libra Foundation and the City of Los Angeles.
